Garage Door Clicker - What's Out On The Market
The garage door clicker sits next to you on the front seat of your car as you pull into your driveway. After months of saving and giving up some of the good things in life, you have finally got yourself and automatic garage door opener. Today is your first time to use to time-saving machine and as you sit behind the wheel staring at the closed garage doors, you remember it was just last week when you had to climb out from behind the wheel, walk across to the doors and lift them open – not anymore. You pick up the garage door clicker and lightly run your index finger across the “open” button. You savor the moment, then aiming it at the doors like an Uzi, you press the button and the doors start opening. A faint smile of conquest creeps across your face and as the doors open wider, so too does your smile. Well that was what it was like, probably, when the first person to have a garage door clicker used it. Today, every man and his wife are packing a clicker.
There are many garage door clickers on the market and they retail at varying prices depending on the make. The Chamberlain KLIK1U universal remote is easy to program and it’s reputed to be compatible with almost all major garage door openers. The standard retail price for this clicker is usually $40.00. Amazon, however, is selling the clicker for around $25.00 – quite a saving. The Garage door clicker is produced by many companies and therefore the market is pretty much flooded with them so choosing one that can do the job is tough. The above mentioned Chamberlain clicker seems to be a good investment and will work with older equipment as well as modern hardware on the market. Reviews for the Chamberlain are good with many stating that programming it is a piece of cake taking no longer than a few minutes. The clicker is, as mentioned, able to be programmed for multiple functions and it wouldn’t surprise me if you were able to flick TV channels with it also – you never know.
For those with older garage doors and even older garage door clicker, consider picking yourself up a new Chamberlain, programming it and throwing the old one in the garbage. Your new Chamberlain, will make you wonder why you bother buying batteries for the old one in the first place.
